The Private Pilot Training Program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to confidently pilot a single-engine aircraft. Whether you’re flying for personal adventure or future career opportunities, you’ll receive hands-on instruction in a supportive environment, building both expertise and confidence throughout your training.

  2. Can you read, speak, write, and understand English?

  3. Do you have any disqualifying medical conditions? Check HERE.

Aircraft Rental: $185/hr. (75 hrs.): $13,875

Dual Instruction: $65/hr. (65 hrs.): $4,225

PCF Membership (6 months): $258

Online Private Pilot Ground School: $275

FAA Medical Exam (3rd Class): $175

FAA Private Pilot PAR Written Exam: $175

FAA Practical Exam: $1,500

A/C Rental for Practical Exam (2 hrs.): $370

Flight training is pay-as-you-go, so you'll pay gradually over time, not all at once. ​Keep in mind, these are estimated costs—your time and total may vary based on aircraft selection, pace of training, weather cancellations, and personal schedule.

Know Before You Go:
The Ground School Journey

 

To become a private pilot, you'll need to understand key components of aviation such as aerodynamics, flight instruments, airspace rules, flight planning, weather, aircraft systems, and emergency procedures. You'll also learn FAA regulations, human factors in flying, and flight safety. This essential knowledge will be taught through both ground school and flight training to ensure you're well-prepared for safe and confident flight operations.

Learn to Fly:
What’s on the Radar

Throughout your training, you’ll gain essential flight experience, including:

  • 40 total flight hours.

  • 20 hours of hands-on instruction with a certified flight instructor.

  • 10 hours of solo flight, including 5 hours of solo cross-country flying. 

  • 3 hours of night flying, and a cross-country flying with an instructor.

  • Mastery of key maneuvers, navigation, emergency procedures, and landing in a variety of weather conditions.

  • 1 solo cross-country flight of 150 nautical miles with 3 landings at different airports.

These are the minimum requirements, and while the national average is about 75 hours, everyone learns at their own pace. This experience is designed to build your confidence and ensure you’re fully prepared to take on the skies with skill and confidence!
